Senior Online Marketing Manager
Position Description
This position is for Bothell only, it can not be worked remotely and there is no relocation assistance.
The eCommerce Product Manager is responsible for analyzing and executing site functionality enhancements to improve the new customer experience. The Product Manager will work with internal Business Owners and Business Analysts to create new and improve current site functionality.
Responsibilities within the scope of this position:
• Build alignment and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and senior leaders throughout the company to ensure successful implementation of programs, product launches and/or service releases.
• Interface with senior leadership to establish product/project requirements, define release strategies and support eCommerce business goals and objectives.
• Work with business and development organizations to define business requirements and ensure objectives are achieved.
• Communicate and manage business requirements, risk mitigation plans, dependencies, and change management plans.
• Lead activities for eCommerce to include status reports to senior management, manage requirements, milestones, and communicate properly to customers, Development, Operations, Sales teams and senior management.
• Serve as a point of escalation for the business as needed when issues or requests for action arise, including requirement and scope changes.
• Work with the business and development groups to ensure that business needs are appropriately represented in internal meetings. Ensure that business requests are met in a manner that maximizes the value to the company and minimizes costs.
• Ensure Creative and Development teams understand business requirements, intended customer experience, and product roadmap.
• Oversee and schedule Joint Requirement Sessions (JAD/JREs) with IT, Creative, QA and Release Management.
• Problem solving based on data gathering, root cause analysis, understanding of conflicting priorities and perspectives.
• Risk assessment and monitoring to understand vulnerabilities and downside possibilities in the implementation business requirements
• Set direction and make operational and managerial decisions on product releases.
• Contingency planning so projects can stay on schedule even when problems arise
• Lateral communication that builds cross-functional understanding and improves the implementation of project initiatives
• Negotiations to develop and secure effective solutions to obstacles impeding successful project completion
Position Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing multiple, complex tasks and able to work with several groups at once. The candidate should be able to prioritize and execute when necessary with Business Owners and make informed changes as needed. As with most eCommerce roles, the candidate will also need to understand web technology, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where the ability to focus on what matters most amidst a steady stream of competing priorities is crucial.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 3 -5 years related experience
• 1-3 years developing and writing detailed business requirements
• 5+ years business analysis or project management
• 1-3 years in the eCommerce space (preferred, but not required)
• Proven experience in highly analytical and technical work
• Excellent written skills with experience in writing MRDs, Business and Functional design documents as well as LOEs, and SOWs.
• Solid technical background in a software development environment with 1-3 years experience in web technologies.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies
• Solid experience with user-centered design as well as UI design
• High-level of comfort working with Dev teams and Project Management.
